Directions. Bring peaches, 2 cups of the water, and sugar to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan over medium, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar. Continue to gently boil over medium, stirring occasionally, until peaches are very tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
